"LOUISVILLE SLUGGER'S"
PRE-SEASON ALL-AMERICAN BASEBALL TEAMS
TUCSON, Ariz. The Louisville Slugger NCAA Division I

The 17-man first team, picked by the staff of Collegiate Baseball
newspaper, features a 6-man pitching staff which posted a 63-18 overall record last
season and averaged 134 strikeouts and only 45 walks per pitcher nearly a 3:1
strikeout to walk ratio. The first team reliever, Brandon Belanger from Tulane, posted 16
saves last season with a 2.45 ERA.
On offense, the first team averaged 24 home runs per player led by
OF Daylan Holt of Texas A&M with 34. As far as doubles and RBI, 2B Marshall McDougall

also present as OF Jeff Stallings of Oral Roberts swiped 49 bases.
The first team also features Collegiate Baseballs Pre-Season National
Player of The Year in Xavier Nady (California) who is expected to be one of the first
